JAZZ FUNERALS

Let us provide a first rate band for your jazz funeral! Check out the videos further down the page!

On a typical funeral we might play in front of the hearse for some or all of the route to the crematorium or cemetery, and after play a few numbers while the family and friends view the flowers. Sometimes we're asked to play a requested favourite jazz song or spiritual in the service. We are also often asked to play appropriate background jazz at a wake or family get together.

You'll find us sympathetic and sensitive to the occasion and we work equally well through direct contact with family members and Funeral Directors. Call 07976 893671 now or email enquiry@westsidesyncopators.co.uk

NEW ORLEANS FUNERAL BAND

For those who want a full traditional New Orleans funeral band (as in the opening scene of the film Live and Let Die), we can provide upwards of a 6 piece brass band, consisting of trumpet(s), trombone(s), reed(s), sousaphone, smare drum and bass drum dressed in traditional New Orleans parade caps.

For such occasions, we can play a selection of dirges(slow hyms) and marches, such as:

  • Just a Closer Walk With Thee
  • The Old Rugged Cross
  • Flee As A Bird
  • Lead Me Saviour
  • Nearer My God To Thee
  • Lord Lord Lord
  • Just A Little While To Stay Here
